With the “Speikboden” in Sand in Taufers (Campo Tures) and the “Klausberg” in Steinhaus (Cadipietra), the guests of the apartment complex “Haus Sonne” in St. Johann (San Giovanni) have access to two modern and family-friendly skiing areas in close vicinity. A free ski shuttle (bus stop in immediate vicinity) will take you to the ski lifts in Sand in Taufers (Campo Tures) (Speikboden, approx. 5 km distance) and Steinhaus (Cadipetra) (Klausberg, approx. 8 km distance) and also connects the Tauferer Ahrntal (Valle Aurina) with Bruneck’s ski area “Kronplatz”, which is about 30 km away.

The Speikboden offers approx. 40 kilometers of excellently prepared slopes as well as a 700 m long Fun Park for snowboarders and freestylers. The Klausberg offers 30 kilometers of slopes and houses the thrilling Snowboard-Fun-Park and the lovingly designed “Klausi-Land” for children.

Cross country skiers will find an extensive net of runs in the nearby villages of Rein in Taufers (Riva di Tures), Mühlwald (Selva dei Molini) and Weissenbach (Rio Bianco), as well as 10 km of sunny cross country runs in Kasern (Casere).
There are also toboggan runs into the valley on the surrounding mountain huts. Weissenbach (Rio Bianco) is home to the snow-sure Tristenbach toboggan run, which is 3.5 km long and connects three mountain pastures.
